Welcome from the Head Teacher

Welcome to Turnham Academy

We are a thriving, vibrant, multi-cultural primary school at the heart of our community in Brockley, in the London Borough of Lewisham.

Our pupils are kind, happy and respectful and love coming to school every day. Our dedicated staffing team will work in partnership with you to ensure that we give your child the education that they truly deserve.

Our school values are Passion, Urgency, Positivity, Aspiration and Commitment. We use these to ensure that we provide the best for our pupils, staff and community always.

Our 3 curriculum drivers are Collaboration, Curiosity and Communication.

We teach our pupils to work as a team and be equipped with the social skills to enable them to be successful throughout their education and beyond. Our pupils are passionate lifelong learners with a thirst for finding out more.

We excite and engage our pupils through carefully crafted learning opportunities, experiences and educational visits. We believe that our pupils can make a positive impact on the community, their country and their world.

We equip our pupils with the tools to be effective communicators who present themselves with confidence. We value pupil voice and actively encourage our children in their right to be heard.

We provide all who attend Turnham Academy with the opportunity to achieve anything that they want to in life.

Our fantastic, modern facilities are second to none. Turnham Academy has beautiful, spacious playgrounds, forest school facilities, dedicated Art , DT and music rooms, a dance hall and our brand new 3G football pitch, “The Rocky and Wrighty Arena”, recently opened by our ex pupil, star Arsenal and England striker Ian Wright.

Contact the Academy office to book a tour and see how Turnham Academy will enable your child to reach their full potential.
